Why McClipFace?

We built McClipFace so the AI you shop with looks for a coupon code before you pay, with no account and nothing to add to your browser.

McClipFace (operated by GetClippy LLC) may earn a commission. Affiliate disclosure

Why we built it

More of us let an AI do the shopping now. It's good at finding the thing you want, but it heads straight for checkout. Looking for a coupon code isn't part of the job.

Doing it yourself isn't much fun either: a row of open tabs, and codes that have already expired.

So we built McClipFace to close that gap. Your AI looks in McClipFace's coupon library before you pay, and you shop the way you already do.

The codes come from the affiliate programs we've joined, from brands directly and from a coupon data company we license codes from. The library refreshes several times a day, and many stores aren't in it yet.

Why it lives inside your AI

McClipFace, a blue clay binder clip, peeking over the top of a clay laptop with a simple chat on its screen.

We didn't want McClipFace in your browser. There's nothing to add to it, and McClipFace doesn't watch the pages you visit.

Instead, it works inside the AI you already talk to: Muse, ChatGPT, Claude or Grok Bot. When your AI looks for a code, it sends McClipFace the store or product you're shopping for and your currency. If you picked a product page, it can also send that page's address.

How it's free

When you buy through some McClipFace links, the store may pay McClipFace a small commission, at no added cost to you. That's how we keep McClipFace free, with no fee and no account.

When two options end at the same price, the one that earns McClipFace a commission may be listed first.

We receive no order numbers, items, purchase amounts or details about you from those sales. The affiliate networks send us only daily totals of clicks and commissions for each store.

If you open a McClipFace link, the store and the companies that handle the link can get details like your IP address, device info and cookies, under their own privacy policies.

What we chose not to do

No account. Coupon lookups work without one, and McClipFace doesn't need your name, your email or a login.

No shopping history. McClipFace keeps overall usage counts, not a history of what each person shops for.

Your AI reads your cart on your side, and what's in it never reaches McClipFace.

No claims about what a code takes off. Store terms apply to each code, and you stay in charge of what you buy.

In Community mode, your AI also reports whether a code worked, with a random report ID, so codes that fail move down the list. In Private mode, it sends no reports, except that in Muse, codes that worked may still be reported for now.

One note about this website: mcclipface.com uses Google Analytics to measure visits, and the Meta Pixel and OpenAI's ad pixel to measure our ads. They run on the website, not inside the coupon lookups your AI makes. When you copy the setup prompt on our site, we send Meta a record of that copy, including your IP address and browser info, so it can be matched to an ad. The privacy policy explains what each one gets.

How we're different

Here's how McClipFace and a few other coupon tools handle accounts, your browser and your shopping history.

A check means yes. A dash means no.

  1. For the other tools, automatic codes at checkout need an extension. Their websites and apps work too.
  2. In Muse, codes that worked may still be reported for now. Those reports don't include your name or account.

Based on each company's privacy policy, terms, help pages and app store listings as of Oct 2026.

If you'd like your AI to look for codes this way, copy the prompt below and paste it into Muse, ChatGPT, Claude or Grok Bot.

Here's the prompt your AI reads:

Please add McClipFace using the setup steps at https://mcclipface.com/i?s=why_page. When it's ready, ask me the setup questions. From now on, look in McClipFace for coupons before you pick a store or pay for me.
